Kumhee Lee, a native of South Korea, has been a featured performer at the Sejong Arts Center, Youngsan Arts Center in South Korea, Symphony Space in New York, Hahn Hall in California, and at various venues throughout the US, Europe, Korea, Thailand, and China. Kumhee Lee served as principal cellist for the Absolute Classic Festival Orchestra. As an active chamber musician, she served as Artist in Residence at University of Minnesota at Morris. She performed with the ensemble at St. Cloud State University, MacPhail Center for Music in Minnesota, and Northwestern College in Iowa.
Ms. Lee is currently on the faculty at the Stony Brook School. She is pursuing a doctoral degree at Stony Brook University, where she studies with Colin Carr, and her chamber music coaches have been the Emerson String Quartet, Christina Dahl, and Alan Kay.
